Hi! I'm Pratiman, a second-year PhD student in chemistry at Caltech. I work in the Shan lab on protein biogenesis.

I came from a physical chemistry and computation background. As an undergrad I moved between a handful of labs, doing machine learning for NMR, single-molecule FRET and live-cell imaging (the full list is here). That mix left me with an interest in biochemistry, microscopy, image processing and machine learning, and a habit of building small tools (software, these days with AI help) to make life a little easier.
